Our Team
Lydia Hawke
Lydia has had a diverse career, previously working as a registered nurse, travel agent and content writer. Her extensive overseas travels led to an interest in architecture and the built environment, so working in planning was an appealing career move.
Lydia has completed a number of short courses to better understand the NSW planning system and local planning and development strategies. She is highly organised and, combined with her writing skills, ensures JBTP’s projects run smoothly and stay on track.
A well-known bibliophile and avid collector of books, Lydia spends most of her spare time reading or thinking about reading. She is also partial to a beer and lying on the beach, preferably with a book.
Lee Carmichael
Owner/Town Planner
Lee Carmichael is one of the Shoalhaven’s most experienced and well-known town planners. He started his career with Shoalhaven City Council in 2003 before moving into private practice, including his own consulting firm Lee Carmichael Town Planning (LCTP). In 2017, LCTP merged with PDC Lawyers, where he headed up a team of consultants providing expert advice and obtaining Council approval for a broad range of residential and commercial developments.
The COVID-19 pandemic gave Lee pause, and in 2022, he decided it was time to head in a new direction. Jervis Bay Town Planning is a new business, but Lee’s experience ensures that clients receive straightforward explanations, frank advice and the best possible outcomes for their projects.
When Lee isn’t in the office, you’ll most likely find him in the pub or at the beach.
